IONAL SERIES – KF1/KF2/KF3
Gary Catt readies for battle
track conditions, with the best kart available. What has
to make the difference in such conditions is the driver,
he’s got to give it all and over a short time, any error cannot
be made up for. Being able to adapt to the tension
that builds up over the few minutes before the start is
what makes the difference. Not to mention driving with
your head and not just with your foot. We know that the
first ten have a heavier foot, the thing is to interpret that
single lap properly, it has to be the best that they will
ever do.
THONON - NONCHALANCE
Thonon told us that he wasn’t sure that he’d be with
the top ten when he was on grid, with nonchalance, as
the French would say. Instead, CRG owner, Tinini, told us
that Jonathan is very at ease in such conditions. He’s just
as good in Formula Renault 2000. In fact, the Belgian was
on the track behind Toman Libor and Tie Braak stopping
47”012, well over best time stopped by Catt (46”639)
in qualifiers and his qualifying
time (46”847). But neither
Ardigò, nor Catt, nor Stevens
the last to hit the track managed
to beat the Belgian CRG
driver who grabbed the first
Superpole win in the history
of karting.
